This is a 1968 Base model Mercury Cougar I purchased in DeScanso California in 2013. It is a project I started with high hopes of finishing much sooner but it is what it is. When done it will be sporting a color called Passion Red. A spoiler alert might be laying next to it on my driveway at the end of the video. I drove all the way to Southern California to haul it back. There are many fun family moments along the way. I’m putting in a 351w small block with a 4 spd overdrive transmission and a 9 inch Trac Lock Differential with Cal Trac traction bars on it. This car was built with a Tilt Tilt-away steering column and and as it turns out is what started my journey towards the steering column service I provide : )
